Explanation of Services


Each resident is provided with a spacious private or semi-private room, 24-hour assistance/care, paid utilities, cable TV, three daily meals and snacks, full laundry and housekeeping services, as well as, activities and social functions. Our basic care level includes assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) such as grooming, personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, medication administration, and medical care coordination with physicians, home health agencies, pharmacy services, and hospices as needed.

Some out of pocket expenses not included in the rate are health and beauty supplies for personal grooming (such as shampoo & body wash), salon services, rehabilitation services, incontinence products, wipes, gloves, and nutritional products/supplements (such as Ensure or Glucerna).

In addition to the above standard services, additional supervision and assistance may be provided to residents who require more care but still qualify to remain in assisted living per State guidelines. The monthly room rate is determined by the type of room and the level of care required by each individual and is adjusted as the resident’s condition changes.

Windsong Care is staffed with trained and experienced caregivers 24 hours per day. A 24-hour period is divided into 2 shifts: Day Shift is from 7:00AM to 7:00PM & Night Shift is 7:00PM to 7:00AM. Night shift staff is awake and alert throughout their shift making rounds and checking in on the residents every 1-2 hours. While the day shift has no less than 2 caregivers on the floor providing care and assistance to the residents.

All staff at Windsong Care are English-speaking, certified caregivers, and have many years of experience working alongside residents with different levels of acuity. Each staff member undergoes a background check to ensure the safety and security of our residents. All our staff is provided with continuous on the job training and are required to attend monthly in-services education.


Safety and Security

At Windsong Care, exit doors are alarmed and kept locked 24 hours per day. There is a sign-in book located near the entrance. All visitors, family members, medical personnel, and volunteers are required to sign in and out. Residents are each given an individualized call button or bell that notifies staff when assistance is needed.

Fire and evacuation drills are performed for both residents and staff on a quarterly basis. The home is equipped with 3 emergency exits, a sprinkler system throughout, a 24 hour fire monitoring service, extra-wide doors and hallways, and a backup generator for the residents’ utmost safety. The entire home is walker and wheelchair accessible with non-skid flooring and roll-in showers for the confort and safety of those residents with physical impairments.
