PROVIDING EXCEPTIONAL CAREWith Compassion And Dignity

What is:

a residential Assisted
living facility

Assisted living is a way to provide care to individuals, who are having difficulty living independently, but do not need the daily nursing services provided in a nursing home. An assisted living provider will furnish a place to live, meals, and 24 hour assistance and support with daily activities, such as dressing, bathing, eating, walking, and managing medications.

Individuals who live in assisted living facilities can have many of the same medical problems as residents living in nursing homes, but assisted living residents and their families want a more personalized environment with more one-on-one care.

A Residential Assisted Living Facility provides a home-like setting for their residents and has a less institutional look than nursing homes with a much higher staff-to-resident ratio, therefore, allowing more personalized and individual care.

Facility Manager

Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to research Windsong Care Assisted Living for your loved one. My name is Ana McCann and I am so excited at the possibility of meeting with you and your loved one and, hopefully, working with you in the near future. I am the owner and manager of Windsong Care Assisted Living Facility.

I have owned and managed Windsong Care for over 8 years. One question I am frequently asked is if I own and/or manage any other facilities. I feel it is so important to focus and dedicate my time only to the residents here. Therefore, Windsong is my only facility.

A little bit about myself: I have 18 years plus experience in the healthcare industry, as well as, a Masters in Healthcare Administration. I have worked as a case manager, office administrator, and healthcare consultant during my career. I specialize in medication management and work closely with the residents’ doctors and nurses to ensure they are receiving the most beneficial and efficient medications to enhance their quality of life. I can honestly say, however, that my passion has always been working with the geriatric population. I pride myself in being an advocate for the elderly which are often the most vulnerable in our population. Being responsible for the well-being and quality of life of my residents is not only my job, but it is my calling, and what I was always meant to do.

I would like to mention that Windsong Care is one of the few faith-based care homes in the area. We welcome working with the different pastors, priests, rabbis, and spiritual leaders from each religion and individual faith in our community. Based on our location, we are parishioners of Christ the King Catholic parish and St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Windsong Care also has a strong and many-years relationship with the LDS members in our community. We are members of JustServe.Org and I am so grateful for the support and kindness shown by all the wonderful volunteers of this organization. Regardless of a resident’s belief system or faith, it is my goal at Windsong to respect and facilitate each resident’s right to worship.

Thank you to each and every one of you for taking the time to learn about Windsong and the care and services we have to offer your loved ones. Again, I hope to be given the opportunity to meet with you individually and answer any further questions you may have.
